The Challenge
The client was The Organic Emporium.
Finding the right product for Food Retail Shop Floors can be challenging and we had no hesitation in specifying Stonlux SL-SA. It is an excellent product and was chosen here specifically because the client required a strong, durable, yet aesthetically pleasing floor to enhance their beautiful new shop.
An additional challenge was that the product would also have to be white and colour stable. Again the Stonlux SL-SA met the requirement as this epoxy system is great in food environments, can handle heavy traffic, and remains colour stable over time.
A third facet of this challenge was that he substrate was originally a soft screed that had to be replaced with a micro concrete self-levelling screed. This would have to be able to cost-effectively be built up by 20mm and be strong enough to provide the base strength for an epoxy system – in order to ensure longevity.

The Solution
Ideal for Food Retail Shop Floors, Stonlux SL-SA is a two component pigmented liquid rich self-levelling epoxy flooring system, applied at either 2 or 3mm thickness. Stonlux SL-SA cures to a hard, aesthetically pleasing surface that exhibits excellent impact and chemical resistance. A perfect solution in this case.
