BASF Ucrete MF Polyurethane Floors
The Challenge
The Bosco Laboratory requirements were very specific: the floors needed to be durable with no possibility of dusting or disintegration. The challenge with this project was that the current epoxy flooring system was failing because it was installed over a soft sand-cement screed.
We specified and installed a BASF Ucrete MF Polyurethane floor as it would give them the best all-around performance. For Laboratory Floors, BASF Ucrete MF Polyurethane gives a strong, durable, hard-wearing floor for a clean-room environment.

The Solution
To meet the challenge we had to remove the old screed to the concrete substrate and install a bulked-up self-levelling micro concrete to build back up to level and make sure that the substrate was of adequate quality and strength to hold a system as demanding on it as a polyurethane floor.
This process definitely increased the cost of the project, but has ensured that this would be the last floor that this facility will ever need!
On the product side – BASF UCRETE® MF is a unique High Density Polyurethane resin floor with exceptional resistance to aggressive chemicals. It provides a smooth protective floor finish suitable for applications in predominantly dry environments.
It is dense and impervious, providing the ideal floor finish for applications in the food, pharmaceutical and manufacturing industries including clean room, laboratory, packing hall and warehouse applications and wherever a robust, long lived floor is required
