The Challenge
Mercedes-Benz 92 Rivonia Showroom floor – Quartz Carpet
CT Floors have been installing floors for Mercedes Benz South Africa since 2014. We have installed numerous showrooms across the country and the overall challenge has always been to install flooring befitting of the high class of the vehicles, showing them in their best light. .
This new 92 Rivonia Flagship showroom, a 4000m2 Quartz Carpet installation, had a few specific challenges. In this project we were firstly tasked to execute extensive substrate rehabilitation and the correction of levels using a specialised rapid-setting, shrinkage compensated micro-concrete – to build up and fix undulating levels of between 0 and 55mm.
As this levelling was completed we would start with the Quartz Carpet installation, aiming to have an area ready for commissioning.
Of utmost importance was that the floor be protected while any work was done over it. Hence, a 250 micron plastic sheeting was laid over the entire floor to protect it from damage while other trades continued with their final finishes.

The Solution
Only one solution was really befitting this Mercedes-Benz 92 Rivonia Showroom floor – Quartz Carpet. This is a non-slip, highly decorative, seamless quartz floor well suited for both interior and exterior applications.
It suitably enhances the look of the showed vehicles and adds a distinctive touch of class to the showroom.
