The Challenge
For Protea Chemicals, using the Stonseal 731 Polyurethane as demarcation lines.
Using the Stonseal 731 Polyurethane as demarcation lines, what initially started as a small project for Protea Chemicals, quickly escalated into a large job spanning a couple of the client’s warehouses!
The challenge was to prevent the demarcation lines delaminating or blistering, a result of poor or no preparation. To avoid this, we removed the old delaminating lines and prepared the surface with our Shot Blaster for receiving the Polyurethane paint.
The new lines were then sprayed, or in certain areas painted on, to meet the second challenge which was to optimise time on the site.

The Solution
Our solution in this case, Stonseal 731 was a two component clear solvent-based aliphatic polyurethane, curing to a tough weather resistant high gloss finish.
A protective industrial sealer for wood, masonry and concrete surfaces, e.g.floor and wall coatings in factories, ablution blocks, food processing plants, hospitals, schools and workshops, Stonseal 731 is ideal for “back of house” retail outlet floors.
The Outcome
The client’s demarcation lines will not delaminate again, because thanks to our knowledge and expertise, the preparation was correctly done.
