FAQ

Q: I thought that galvanizing mild steel is there to protect it from rust. Do I still need to paint it?
A: No, not if it shows no sign of rust. However, if it does start to show signs of rust, the oxygen in rust is enough to continue the rusting process. Direct-to-Metal Paint is a metal primer and intermediate coat in one. This will help retard the deterioration of your steel structure/roof reducing the number of coats required and subsequent labour costs and time constraints.
 
Q: Is it easy to apply?
A: Like all other paints the success of the application lies in the surface preparation. The hard work lies in ensuring that the surface is ready to receive the Direct-to-Metal Paint;  whilst the easy part is the actual painting process. Also remember that Cemcrete’s Direct-to-Metal Paint is a primer and intermediate coat in one, saving time and labour.
