FAQ
Q: Can my builder do the application?
A: If your builder has experience working with Cemcrete products and you feel confident in using them to do the application, then yes. Your builder can also attend our demo days hosted at our Academy in Johannesburg. Please note attending these demonstration days does not mean your builder will be an experienced Cemcrete contractor. For more details of Cemcrete’s demo days or independent contractor details visit Cemcrete’s website.
Q: How do I maintain my wall after StippleCrete has been applied?
A: Just wash down with a sugar soap/water solution and rinse with clean water (1 cup sugar soap to 5 litre water). It is imperative that the walls are first wet down prior to doing the sugar soap wash.
Q: How long will StippleCrete last?
A: To date more than 1 million RDP homes have been coated with Stipplecrete. Stipplecrete can still be seen on homes that were coated nearly twenty years ago such as the early stages of Shakaskraal and Besters Camp.
Q: Can I paint over StippleCrete?
A: Yes, it is possible to paint over StippleCrete.
Q: Can I use StippleCrete in my bathroom?
A: Yes. It is a textured coating and you may need to coat it with one of our sealers so that it becomes less dirt retentive.
